Mardi Gras in St John Feb 7-9

It’s Mardi Gras time in the St John Sims February 7th to February 9th – tune to @RadioRiel for more information. They’ll be doing an all day LIVE broadcast with special music on Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday, the Always Marching Parade will be running (so you can hop on and ride the floats around) and it all kicks off with a big stage show by the Flapperettes. DON’T miss it. There’s a whole new sim of St John Uptown 1916 to explore too, with that newfangled electric lighting!

Special transportation is available via the intersim rail/ferry links from New Babbage train station (ticket window under the bridge), Mieville (ticket booth near Steampunk Information Center) or Winterfell (touch the mystic altar near the skating pond). You’ll land dockside in St John Parish – walk to your right to head over the bridge into the city of St John Uptown for the big doings!

“If you just build it, they might not come”: promoting events in SL

Really useful information… I’m a terrible marketer in RL and SL, and struggle to get the word out effectively (or at all).
